Most days, Edward would go out to look at houses to rent, find supplies for work, etc, while the kids and I went out for walks to explore the shops or the lay of the land.
One day he said that he would take us out. We followed him through places that he had discovered. It's always fun going out with him.
We walked to the center of the city by way of the beautiful alabaster pedestrian road. It has different stylish restaurants trying to out blast each other with their music and nice shops. After that, we came to this park.
The younger kids were delighted! One of them in particular had been asking to go to a playground.
The older kids helped the younger ones.
My 11 year old will always be a little boy at heart, I think.
This merry-go-round type toy was so loud and squeaky! My kids had so much fun on it for a long time, but it definitely disturbed the otherwise quiet and peaceful environment.
We were there for a while, but everyone had a good time.
The boy in the red shirt was a very smiley boy who was there with his little sister and grandfather. He joined our crew and seemed to have a great time.
After that, Edward took us to a street that I hadn't been on before. I was excited to find a couple of stores that had decent fabric. Having the option of sewing opens up a world of options for me.
Before we rented a house, I was trying to scope out the shops around the city and figure out where I would eventually buy things for our house. One of my most frequently used questions has been, "Sa kushton kjo?" (Sah kooshtone kyoe?) which means, "How much does this cost?"
We are becoming more familiar with individuals around the city, the language, and the daily living here. We are grateful to God for his protection, provisions, and plans.
